Ben’s Innocenti Mini 120

Now you’re probably thinking ”This isn’t a Mini” but you’d actually be surprisingly wrong. This little hatchback was designed by the same company that went on to create Lambretta scooters and the Austin A40 under license. The company was Innocenti and in 1965, only six years after the first Mini’s were born, they designed the Mini 120 and as you may have already guessed by the name, it hails from the boot-shaped peninsula of Italy and was met by a wave of popularity. It’s a shame then that only a handful of these were converted by Maserati for right hand drive here in the UK and we didn’t see more of that wave here for them. Luckily, our customer Ben brought this to us and had us recolor it grey with an orange engine and we were very pleased just to get our eyes on this thing, let alone give it a touch of revitalisation.
