Geoffs Wood & Pickett Clubman 1275GT

Geoffs Wood & Pickett Clubman 1275GT

Portfolio

Starting out as a stock Clubman 1275GT, the first modification was to have a cassette type sun roof installed at Henleys dealership. After around 4 years, the Mini’s second owner sent the GT to Wood & Pickett who retrofitted items such as front and rear bull bars, driving lamps in the grille and a rear window wiper. They de-seemed the rear gutter and fitted a vinyl roof before stripping out the standard interior and retrofitting their own interior with Recaro seats and wooden dash facias. Geoff acquired the Mini in a sorry but complete state and stored it for many years whilst other projects took precedence. Eventually, the Mini was brought back out into the light of day and given to us to commence a full rebuild restoration. Geoff decided that he would keep some of the Wood and Pickett fearures as a nod to its past history but a new roof was required and so the de-seemed gutter and sun roof did not re-appear. The driving lamps were retained as was the rear window wiper and although a new interior was made for the Mini, the original Recaro seats remained becoming re-trimmed to match the interior. The engine was fully overhauled with a mild road cam being fitted and the suspension was upgraded at the same time. All in all, a very unique car that we were privalaged to build for Geoff.
